UFI-Friendly Fragrance Oils
This collection brings together fragrance oils with clear UFI-free usage guidance for candles and home fragrance products sold in the EU. Each oil has been reviewed to help you plan fragrance load, costing and CLP labelling with less guesswork. Under EU CLP, a UFI (Unique Formula Identifier) is used for mixtures requiring poison centre notification. It links the product placed on the market to the mixture information submitted to poison centres, so the product can be identified in an emergency.
Before formulating, check the UFI-free line in the Recommended Usage table on the product page. It shows the maximum fragrance load currently reviewed for that oil — for example, up to 2%, 4.5% or 6%. To stay within that planning window, keep the fragrance load in the finished product at or below the stated percentage. This is formulation guidance for simple formulas, not a blanket legal exemption. Recheck the final mixture if you add other hazardous ingredients, combine fragrance oils, increase the dosage, change the application or work under different regulatory conditions. Always prepare the CLP label from the final formula and use the latest SDS and IFRA documents for the oil.
